Learn / Website Studio

How a website gets found, and how you build one.

Titles, headers, Studio sections, SEO, and AEO in the words the builder actually uses. This is a guide. It is not a ranking package and it does not promise a search position.

On this page

Start with the part you need.

Read it in order the first time. After that, skip. Pictures below use a sample shop. They are not a customer site.

How ranking works

A search engine has to find you, read you, then choose you.

Google and other engines do not watch you type in Website Studio. They fetch the published page. Useful pages in the town you serve still have to beat other useful pages. Nobody here can promise the order.

Example of a sitemap and a published page, with the draft left unpublished
Sample. A draft stays off the internet until you publish.

Find

A crawler follows a link, a sitemap, or a domain you already own. Unpublished drafts stay off the public internet.

Example page outline with Search title, Search blurb, and Opening heading marked
Sample. Search title, Search blurb, then the Opening heading.

Read

It looks at the Search title, the Search blurb, the Opening heading, the other headings, the words, and the photos.

Example comparing a clear McKinney offer with a vague welcome page
Sample. A clear town and offer beats “Welcome to our website.”

Compare

It weighs whether the page answers the search, whether the business looks real, and whether people stay or leave.

Example of an unpaid listing, a map pack, and a sponsored ad
Sample. Unpaid listing, map pack, and a sponsored ad are three jobs.

Show

A listing, a map pack, or an AI answer may appear. Paid Search ads sit in a different auction. They are not organic rank.

The main fields

Titles, headers, and the short line under the result.

Website Studio keeps search copy in site settings. The Opening heading is the visible H1 on the page. Extra pages add the page name after the Search title.

Search blurb

Example search result with the gray Search blurb highlighted
Sample. The gray sentences under the title. Forty characters or more.

The one or two sentences under the title. Studio calls this Search blurb. Readiness wants at least forty characters. Say who you help and what happens when they call.

Opening heading

Example homepage Opening with one large heading and a button
Sample. One H1. Name the offer.

The first heading a person sees. Keep one. Name the offer, not a slogan. Search engines treat this as the page’s H1.

Section headings

Example page outline with What you do, Hours, and Towns we serve as headings
Sample. What you do, Hours, and Towns we serve become the outline.

Each Studio block has its own heading. Those become the outline under the Opening. Use them for real questions: hours, towns, what you do.

Shop name, city, phone

Example Studio settings for shop name, city, phone, and hours
Sample. Shop name, city, phone, and hours in site settings.

Studio readiness also checks the shop name, city, phone, email, and hours. Those lines show up on the page and help a local search match the real business.

Photo alternative text

Example comparing useful photo alternative text with a weak filename
Sample. Name the job in the picture, not image1.

Describe the job in the picture. “Kitchen remodel in McKinney” helps more than “image1.” Stock smiles are a weak start; a photo from the truck is better.

The acronyms

SEO, AEO, and paid ads are three different jobs.

People mix these words. The work on the page is the same either way: clear titles, true copy, and an answer a neighbor can use.

AEO

Example of a short question with an answer an engine can quote
Sample. One question. One plain answer.

Answer engine optimization is writing so an AI overview or chat answer can quote you. One question, one plain answer, a heading that matches the question. FAQ blocks help when the answers are real.

Paid search

Example sponsored search ad labeled separately from unpaid listings
Sample. Sponsored is a bid, not a rank.

Ads are a bid, not a rank. A click can land on this shop’s site. That is advertising, not organic search. CCN does not sell advertising campaigns.

What this shop does not sell

Example showing website plans sold here and ranking packages crossed out
Sample. Website plans. Not a ranking package.

We do not sell advertising campaigns or SEO ranking packages. Published website, email, and domain prices are the offer. Growth includes search setup tools on the site you publish. It does not buy you a position.

Build in Website Studio

Choose a plan. Replace the sample. Fill search. Connect the name. You publish.

Guest drafts stay in the browser. A signed-in paid plan keeps the workspace. The site goes live when you publish, not when CCN reads the page.

Compare website plans

  1. Choose a plan

Launch is $19 a month and one page. Growth is $39 and up to five pages with search setup, forms, and conversion tools. Commerce is $69 and adds the Pay button for a Payment Link from your own Stripe account.

Example Launch, Growth, and Commerce plan tiles
    Sample. Launch $19, Growth $39, Commerce $69.
  2. Replace the sample shop

Type over the starter name, city, phone, hours, and example reviews. Readiness will keep the leftover Example lines on the list until you change or delete them.

Example of the sample shop name crossed out and a real shop name typed in
Sample. Type over the starter name before you publish.
  3. Fill Search title and Search blurb

Open site settings. Write the shop, the work, and the city in Search title. Write one or two sentences in Search blurb. Connect the domain on the account, not in this field.

Example Studio Search title and Search blurb fields
Sample. Search title and Search blurb live in site settings.
  4. Connect a domain

Buy a name on Domains, or type one you already own. CCN shows the A record @ 136.110.167.65 and the www CNAME. Copy those at GoDaddy, Cloudflare, or Namecheap. They stay on the account. A CCN subdomain is ready if you skip this.

Example DNS values card with an A record, a www CNAME, and Copy
Sample. A and CNAME stay listed. Copy them at the current DNS host.
  5. You publish

The paid Publish button puts the site on the internet. If the name already points here, that click also checks HTTPS. If you have not paid, that same button starts the plan. CCN does not review the pages first.

    Example Publish button
Sample. The paid Publish button puts the page on the internet.

Website Studio catalog

What each section is for.

These are the block names in the builder. You do not need every block.

A one-page Launch site usually needs these four.

Opening

Example Opening section with a photo, promise, and a button
Sample. Photo, one promise, one button.

The first thing a customer sees: photo, promise, and a button. This heading is the page’s main title. Keep one Opening per page.

The shop

Example The shop narrative block
Sample. Who you are, in the room or on the truck.

Who you are and why a neighbor would call you. Write the room, the truck, or the practice. Skip filler about being passionate.

What you do

Example What you do cards for Visit, Work, and Follow-up
Sample. Visit, work, follow-up. Price can wait.

Three offers, in plain words. Price can wait for the phone. Name the visit, the work, and the follow-up.

Reach you

Example Reach you block with a phone number and a note form
Sample. Phone, hours, and a note on every site.

Phone, hours, and a note. After you publish, visitor notes land on the account. Keep a way to write you on every site.

Add these when the work needs them.

Neighbors

Example Neighbors quotes marked Example from McKinney and Allen
Sample. Starter quotes stay marked Example until you change them.

Names and towns you can stand behind. Starter quotes are marked Example. Change them or delete them before you publish.

Finished work

Example Finished work tiles for a living room, kitchen, and bedroom
Sample. Job photos, not catalog grins.

Photos of jobs, not stock smiles. A living room you finished beats a catalog grin.

Before they call

Example Before they call questions about timing and price
Sample. Hours, price range, and how soon you can come.

The three questions that delay a booking. Hours, price range, and how soon you can come belong here.

Next step

Example Next step band with one Call now button
Sample. One closing ask. Not three buttons.

One closing ask. Call, book, or pay. No newsletter signup.

Hours

Example Hours list with Saturday and Sunday left blank
Sample. Blank Saturday stays blank.

Days and times on the page. Type what you can actually answer. Blank Saturday stays blank.

Towns we serve

Example Towns we serve chips for McKinney, Frisco, Plano, and Allen
Sample. Name cities you actually cover.

Cities you actually cover. Blank stays off the page. McKinney, Frisco, Plano, and Allen belong here if you work them.

Map

Example Map section with a pin and Get directions
Sample. Type the address. No embed code.

Your street address on Google Maps. Type the address. You do not paste embed code. City-only shops can leave this off.

Pay button

Example Pay button with a $48 price and a Pay now control
Sample. Commerce only. Your Stripe Payment Link.

A price label and a button to a Payment Link from your own Stripe account. Commerce plans use this. CCN does not take the card on that button.

Before / after

Example Before and after photos with a slider
Sample. Two photos of the same job.

Two photos of the same job. Drag the slider. Use it when the work is visible.

Trust

Example Trust cards for license, insured, and years
Sample. License, insured, years you can show.

License, insured, years on the job. Type only what you can show. Starter license lines are placeholders.

Who shows up

Example Who shows up cards with name, role, and a photo
Sample. Name, role, and the person at the door.

Name, role, and a photo of the person at the door. Not a stock smile.

Quiet planner

Example Quiet planner with wake time and a no-server note
Sample. Skip this unless the shop needs a wake-time tool.

A wake-time and wind-down tool on some templates. Nothing is stored on a server. Skip it unless the site is that kind of shop.

Organic search

Improve the page you publish. Do not buy a shortcut.

These are the moves that still work. They take time. They do not replace a useful offer in the town you serve.

Example Search title that names tree care and McKinney
Sample. Name the work and the town you actually serve.

Say the town and the work

Put McKinney, Frisco, Plano, Allen, or Collin County in the Search title and the Opening only when you actually serve that place.

Example stack of Hours, Towns, and Reach you cards
Sample. Hours, towns, and how to reach you on the first screen.

Answer the first questions

Hours, towns, what you do, and how to reach you. A Before they call block is for the three delays, not a brochure.

Example comparing a job photo with a stock smile
Sample. A job photo beats a stock smile.

Use real names and photos

Replace Example reviews. Put a job photo on the page. Fake quotes and stock smiles get you ignored.

Example of one Call now button
Sample. One next step. Call, write, or pay.

Keep one clear next step

Call, write, or pay. Three competing buttons waste the visit that search just sent you.

Do

Example published badge next to hours that are still true
Sample. Publish. Keep hours true.

Publish the site. Keep hours true. Add a page when the plan allows it. Link the same phone and city you use on the door and on Google Business Profile, if you have one.

Do not

Example of keyword stuffing and a fake review crossed out
Sample. No stuffed headings. No invented reviews.

Do not stuff the same phrase into every heading. Do not invent reviews. Do not buy a first-place badge. Do not treat an AI rewrite as a substitute for the shop you actually run.

What CCN already hosts

Example tiles for hosting, SSL, and search setup
Sample. Hosting and SSL. Not a ranking retainer.

Managed hosting, SSL, and the published page. Growth includes search setup tools. Design packages write the first draft. None of that is a ranking retainer.

After you read this

Start the one-page plan, or write us.

Launch is $19 a month. Design packages are separate. This page is still a guide, not a ranking package.

Questions

Short answers.

The same limits as the rest of the shop. No ranking package. You publish.

Do you sell SEO or ranking packages?

No. This shop sells website plans, professional design packages, business email, domains, and DNS help. There is no advertising retainer and no SEO ranking package.

Where do I set the search title in Website Studio?

Open the site settings in Website Studio. Search title is the tab and result title. Search blurb is the short description under it. Extra pages add the page name after the search title.

What is AEO?

AEO means writing a page so an answer engine can quote a clear answer. Use one question, one plain answer, and a heading that matches what people ask. It is not a CCN product.

Who publishes the website?

You publish after the monthly plan is paid. That click is yours. CCN does not review the pages first.

Can I use a domain I already own?

Yes. Connect the name on Domains. CCN shows the A and CNAME values to copy at your current DNS host. They stay listed on the account if you lose them. Publish then checks HTTPS. A CCN subdomain is also available.

Need a hand in the builder?

Ask about the page you are stuck on.

Tell us the shop, the city, and whether the question is a title, a section, or which plan to start. This is support for the website, not a ranking audit.
